Team Members
At Tyson Foods, we are committed to providing a good working environment and to retaining our Team Members through competitive wages, fair treatment, training, benefits, and safe working conditions. We recognize our continued success as an organization depends on the knowledge, skills, and talents of our Team Members.

Customers
We are dedicated to developing a best-in-class, value-added product portfolio that meets the needs of our customers. Tyson Foods is the leading protein provider to all major national restaurant chains, including quick service, casual, mid-scale, and fine dining. We are the only company selling chicken, beef, and pork through all major distribution channels including consumer products, foodservice, and international.

Family Farmers
At Tyson Foods, we work with independent contract growers to raise the chickens that go into our products. Growing chickens for Tyson Foods is a stable source of income for Family Farmers who would otherwise have to depend only on the financial ups and downs and unpredictability of other crops. As of September 29, 2012, there were 4,295 contract poultry farmers who benefit from this working relationship. As of this same date, there were almost 6,900 cattle and hog producers who supplied Tyson Fresh Meats.

Consumers
The Tyson® brand is one of the most recognized brands in the United States retail channel. Tyson Foods sells hundreds of different retail products, including case-ready fresh chicken, beef, and pork; individually quick-frozen chicken; chicken nuggets, strips, and patties; bacon; and deli meats. In addition to the Tyson brand, we have several other strong brands for our bacon and deli meats businesses. We also manufacture products for our leading customers’ in-house and private-label brands.

Shareholders
With our talented, diverse, and high-performing team, we will drive performance in a winning, highly accountable culture reflective of our Core Values and Cultural Tenets. We continue to manage our company for the long-term benefit of our shareholders. Our strategy calls for us to build on our commitment to fundamentals and balance sheet strength, by focusing on ways to accelerate, innovate, and cultivate.

Communities
From May 2000 through September 2012, Tyson Foods donated over 89 million pounds of much-needed protein to hundreds of food banks, food pantries, and relief agencies in 48 states. Tyson Foods partners with all of the nation’s major hunger relief organizations. In an effort to help raise awareness of hunger in the United States, Tyson Foods initiated the KNOW Hunger campaign in early 2011.The project is designed to encourage people to KNOW the scope of hunger in their own communities and get involved in relief efforts, so someday there will be NO hunger in our country. With our Core Values as our foundation, it is Tyson Foods’ policy to conduct business in a safe, responsible manner with respect for the environment and for the well-being of our Team Members, customers, and neighboring communities. We believe that conserving and protecting natural resources is essential to our company’s sustainability as well as the future of the world.
